Individual flowers are delightfully felted in texture making them particularly interesting to children. Like most salvias (or sages as commonly known) the foliage is aromatic and forms a clump. Suckers form from base each new growing season slowly increasing clump size. Flowers mainly in spring and autumn. Ideal for windy coastal zones as well as inner city areas where it tolerates pollution levels better than most plants.
